Pretty New Yarn!:
Selbu Spinneri yarn from Norway

Book:
Ship Fever, by Andrea Barrett. I have another collection of her short stories, Servants of the Map, which I am hoping to read this summer.

Other Miscellaneous Mentions:
1. Folks. Cold-brew iced coffee. SO GOOD. I always thought cold-brew was one of those overrated things that required lots of effort -- I think I got this idea because cold-brew coffee concentrate is really pricey at stores. I was wrong. Nothing could be easier. I put a little vanilla almond milk in mine; I like hot coffee black, but iced coffee with a little milk. Smitten Kitchen has instructions!
2. We're having another KAL! It's with the lovely Robyn and Merry of the Cherry Purls podcast. The Summer Colors KAL will run from June 1 through July 31, and the idea is to knit something using at least two different colorways of yarn (you can use more!). WIPs that are less than 50% done may be entered. There is a chatter thread in the Ravelry group and the FO thread will go up on 1 June, so come on over and let us know what you will be knitting. There's also an Instagram hashtag, which I keep forgetting to mention -- #summercolorskal.
