I got a Woolmakers Bliss single-treadle wheel for Christmas!
I spun up 2oz of merino and am now spinning 2oz of Corriedale dyed by Woolverine Fibers. Sadly, they don't seem to be dying fibre any more! Next up is a full pound of silver-gray Corriedale (I have two bags for a total of 16oz. -- which is a pound! 8oz. is a half-pound!)

Pretty New Yarn:
1. A sweater quantity of Kelbourne Woolens Scout, colorway Teal Heather. Purchased at the lovely Chicago LYS Knit 1.
2. An additional sweater quantity of Lichen & Lace Rustic Heather Sport, colorways Coal, Shrub, Birch, Pollen, and Sky. Destined to become the Lunenburg Pullover by Amy Christoffers.

1. The Dutch House by Ann Patchett. (I also mentioned Bel Canto and Commonwealth by her, but I have read neither.)
2. This Golden Fleece: A Journey Through Britain's Knitted History by Esther Rutter. For fellow Americans, The Woolly Thistle sure does have copies in stock! They are $24 + shipping.
*Honorable mention to Saints for All Occasions by J. Courtney Sullivan, which I read several years ago and loved beyond all imagination.

Other Miscellaneous Mentions:
1. Other patterns I mentioned include "Vintersol," by Jennifer Steingass; "Strange Brew" recipe, by Tin Can Knits; "Doodler" shawl, by Stephen West
2. Here's the mug! (I was right: the final lady on the mug is Julian of Norwich.)
